Rex-1 Regulate The Transcriptional Activity Of Oct4 Through Direct Protein Interaction |
|
|
Abstract Rex-1 and Oct4 are transcription factors which are specifically expressed in pluripotent cells. However, the molecular mechanisms of Rex-1 and Oct4 regulating the pluripotency and differentiation of embryonic stem cells (ES cells) are not very clear. The interaction between Rex-1 and Oct4 is studied here. Rex-1 and Oct4 co-localize in the nucleus and have direct protein interaction. Rex-1 inhibits the transcriptional activity of Oct4 through this interaction.
