Abstract Taking Derwent innovation index as the database, using analysis tools Thomson Data Analyzer of Thomson and Microsoft Excel, chooses Corynebacterium glutamicum patents of the whole world to analyze time, region, the patentee, research field and development, in order to provid intelligence supports to the research and development trend of the technology on Corynebacterium glutamicum, help the enterprises and colleges to formulate and adjust technology development strategy or perfect technology development layout, so they could have the competitive advantage under the fierce market competition environment.
