Abstract

Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) combined with the chromatographic lateral flow dipstick (LFD) assay to detect the target amplicons is a novel detection method. Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a nucleic acid amplification technology. The biggest advantages of this method is able to amplify the specific target sequences to 109 level under the condition of 60℃~65℃ isothermal temperature within 30~60 minutes.Lateral flow dipstick (LFD), is a blend of immune chromatography technology and molecular biology method, which can make the target product easily to be detected specificity by the color lines in the note. The developed LAMP-LFD assay has the characteristics of high specificity, sensitivity, simplicity, convenience and low cost. What is more, the results can be recognized visually and intuitively by the naked eye.The principle,in rapid detection of biological application and technological characteristics of LAMP-LFD were reviewed, and points out the advantages and existing problems of LAMP-LFD technology. Finally, the LAMP-LFD technology is prospected.
