Abstract Solution flow is inevitable inside a protein solution during protein crystal growth process. In this paper, the proceeding of the effect of existence of solution flow, including forced solution flow, stirring, and crystal growth on a rotary plate, on protein crystal growth have been reviewed. Moreover, together with our primary experimental results, the improvements of crystal growth on a rotary plate have been emphasized in this paper.
